Donna Vessey

What can one say? Professional - yes. Talented - yes. Beautiful - yes. But, as a director the single greatest factor which leads to choosing Donna for a project would have to be her exhuberant enthusiasm. It is contagious, and spreads to every aspect of a production.

Donna brings a lot to any production! She's very perceptive, giving me not only what I direct her to do, but often times adds to the scene with her interpretation. Donna is bright, articulate and great around clients, often times schmoozing them while I'm busy with the crew. Also, the money saved on hiring her as a professional talent more than makes up for the camera and crew time spent while trying to coach a "freebie". Donna goes the extra mile, gets there early, stays late and is always "ready, willing and able"!

I've had the pleasure of working with Donna on five commercials for three different clients. Over the past five years we produced two commercials for Landmark Tours and Travel, two for American Family Mortgage and one for Domega Homes. I consider Donna a professional in every sense of the term. She is always prepared for the shoot, looks great, knows her lines and delivers them just as I request, even when the weather doesn't cooperate. Once, during an outside shoot, a cold front decided to blow through. As we looked at the footage later, you would never have guessed that it was 40 degrees outside and the wind was blowing about 20 miles an hour. Donna made it look like a warm, summer afternoon, which was the look we were after. I have nothing but great things to say about her work and personality. I look forward to the next opportunity that I have to work with her on a television project.

Donna is a very talented, enthusiastic and dedicated actress. She first performed for our "emmy nominated" Treasure of the Cripple Creek District. Donna played her part beyond expectation. I regret now not giving her the lead part. If she is given freedom to interpret her role and allowed to perform her craft, your production will always be a winner. Donna also did a magnificent job in reading my script narration for my recent documentary, "Landmark For All", A History of Castle Rock, Colorado. For many years I had watched Donna perform in many theatrical productions. Her characterizations and professionalism always impressed me. I always hoped that we would one day have a chance to work together. That day came, not in a theatrical production, but a corporate video for Vantage Homes. I was writer and director for the project and asked Donna to audition. She not only came well prepared for the audition, but also helped me find other talent for the project. The day of the shoot, she came early. This gave me ample time to explain blocking and characterization to her. She is a quick study and the shoot went extremely well.
